Despite maye showing some good flashes I agree with @Deus Irae . I did not want to see this kid this early this year with a team like this. At this point, I'd want him to sit his ass on the bench until they got a decent coaching staff. i know I, for one, said you don't put a guy who has 5 years as a position coach as your head coach and then give him a defensive coordinator who's never called plays and an offensive coordinator who's never called plays along with not having anyone experienced upstairs to help him with game management. it was stupid as fuck, it is stupid as fuck, and it will continue to be stupid as fuck.

I mean I hear you. it's not that I think he's fragile at all. Mahomes was sitting when he had a good team around him(offensively at least). it's more that when you are playing on a bad team as a quarterback I think you develop bad habits and bad mindsets that are very hard to unseat once they are wired into you. Look at how many guys we'll never know if it be good or not because they played on bad teams or they were all bad teams and they rehabbed somewhere else but it took a while.

even Aaron Rogers who seemed to be chafing at the time being drafted 25th and sitting for so long said recently that sitting was a big benefit to him.now maybe he didn't want to sit for 9,422 years but sitting for at least a year I think is good. learning how to prepare, learning all the responsibilities of a quarterback, watching someone lead...etc. I think when it comes to the pros, qb is a whole different ball game much more so than for any other position.
