NFL GameDay Official Week 7 GDT

GameDay Discussion
3 Niner defenders all slowed down the second they thought he was going out of bounds
Yeah, someone needs to take his head off when he pulls that stuff. It’ll happen one day and the defender will probably get booted from the game, but he needs to pay for tiptoeing the boundary like that.

To be fair to Kermit he ain't the only one doing that shit. We need a Gregg Williams DC in the league again

6-0 bitches. Wait until we trade for a WR too. Did you see MaGOAT put his team on his back with that scramble? That's why he's going to go down as the greatest to ever do it.

You beat a team that was without its running back and wide receivers, and the game was still close until late in the game.

I can't stand the KC Swifts, but their D continues to stifle opposing offenses. They don't use the excuse Pats fans have been using for a few years now. Spags is going to get one more shot at HC.

They’re spending their high picks on skill players and paying superstars big bucks. The Belichick roster approach is looking more and more like “one way to do it” with a generational quarterback but not necessarily the only way, or even the best way.

one of the reasons its working for KC is because they never have a major injury to any of their superstar players

The rule changes have a lot to do with that. Go back to the rules of old, and almost everything else reverts back, too.

Mannings Colts and Broncos teams both built around skill players and superstars. The problem wasn’t always the philosophy. Those were some great teams but there was always an excuse because Manning was a choking dog.

@Ice_Ice_Brady
I do agree that bill's way was definitely not the only way and there were other teams that built good teams in other ways. but I still think that bill's way was the best way as far as trying to plan ahead in case there were injuries because every team has injuries. if you build a top heavy team and you lose any of those players to injury you are probably not going to be very competitive. I think the reason that bill's way suffered more is because in 2011 with the new collective bargaining agreement they started reducing practice time and time at the facility. a coach like bill suffers more with that because he's very teaching intensive and technique intensive and he has to have smart, versatile players to make his schemes work. when you lose coaching time you're better off having great athletes and simple schemes.

Go look at the points those Colts teams were putting up in the losses before the rule changes, though. Peyton was a choking dog in the playoffs for much of his career, but this was more than that (points in the wins sometimes got into the 40's, because it was a matter of dealing with different defenses), and it wasn't just against the Patriots:
