Patriots news

How much of a bust is Reagor that he couldn’t even make this roster?

Yeah, it's pretty bad. But he'll at least catch on somewhere as a return man, so the money will still flow.

I thought he'd make it as a returner because at least we know he's good at that. I winder if we see Gibson or Hasty there, I'm not sure
i want Pop or Marcus Jones returning kicks

I am so excited to watch the Patriots next weekend with the most unathletic black QB ever. Should be exciting.
Over/under 4.5 games until he gets hurt and we have no choice but to throw Maye out there.

Hopefully one of these OT's they claimed can play.

Affirmative action over merit. A sad day for this storied franchise.

Now it is time to cheer for an injury. Let us pray.

God, please let a large 350 lb man seriously injure our subpar "starting" QB on the very first play of week 1's game, so that we may rid ourselves of his presence, and insert a real man at the QB position. Forever and ever, amen.

I can't wish injury upon Black Mac. Seems like a good dude.

Maybe an opposing player will run into Black Mayo. Knock him out of the game at least.

Think Mayo might try to pull a Tomlin?

Byron Leftwich would like a word with you.

While you're at it, you might as well hope that some random homeless guy gives you this week's winning lottery ticket.

The end justifies the means.

I hope this is a place where I can just put comments about this year's Patriots as well.I am watching the commanders game right now and noted with interest something that Collinsworth said when he talked to Mayo. mayo asked him how many times have you been on a team where they were playing the guy because he was a high draft pick or making the most money Etc and he was not the best player of all of the choices? Collinsworth said it's happened all the time and how it's great that Mayo is honest with the players and things like that won't happen on the patriots. but Mayo literally said that maye has outplayed brissett but he's starting brissett. is that not contradictory to what he told Collinsworth?

Not really, IMO:

Maye outplayed Brissett in terms of how it looked (this is the Mayo statement that should never have been uttered)

BUT

The only time Maye has played against the #1s was in that practice against the Eagles, and he bombed that day

AND

Maye is still learning QB101 level stuff, with regards to both the mental and physical aspects of being a QB, and this has been noticeable even when he's "played well"

AND

QBs get sped up if they get pressured too much, and this can ruin QBs a few plays, or a couple of games, or a career. With Maye being a rookie, and with the ruining of Mac Jones so fresh in the minds, this is likely being given real weight

agree. and mayo has foot in mouth disease so far with this and other things.
