It's probably where he'll have to play if he's really going to be any kind of player in the league.

...Returning to practice this week from the torn patellar injury he suffered last Dec., Van Pelt left the possibility open of Strange playing any spot along the interior offensive line. But with all of Strange’s NFL experience coming at guard, Peters shared the focus since his return has been at the center position.

“For right now just kind of working him at center because it’s a new progression for him,” Peters said. “But absolutely he’ll play both. The thought was to kind of get a ball in his hand and see how he looks.”...

Yep, besides Onemenu, LG's really the Least of their worries along this offensive Line.

Not only that, but Strange has shown, I think beyond the point of "development", that he doesn't have what it takes to be a good starting OT or OG.

Definitely not OT, he showed a bit at G but was very up and down. Hopefully he can get his health together and actually play some football.. I'd bet against him though.. and be happy if he can prove me wrong.

He reminds me of Maroney - when he's on damn, the boy can play. Problem is that his on switch has a short.

The Patriots, at 3-9, are currently ahead of only 2 teams in the AFC. Both of those teams (Jacksonville, Las Vegas) are 2-9.

Vegas just lost their the starting QB, so they would seem to have the edge in the race for the #1 pick, AFC bracket.

The link didn't work for me because I don't do Facebook. What is the link referencing? Jim Thorpe's first game?
1959-11-19: On this day in Professional Football History: The eighth and final American Football League franchise was awarded to the city of Boston. The group was headed by William H. Sullivan. “Boston was awarded the franchise over four other cities,” Sullivan stated. The cities were Cincinnati, Kansas City, Philadelphia and St. Louis.
Boston would be joining Buffalo, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York in the new AFL which was set to start in the 1960 season. “While the team will be situated in Boston, it will be strictly a New England experience. The team will wear uniforms made in New England and will represent the entire area,” Sullivan said.
Probably the biggest obstacle facing the new team was where they were going to play. They would need to have 25,000 fans per game just to break even. The new franchise had spoken with Fenway Park, Harvard Stadium and Braves Field. A new stadium was built at Boston College, but it only held 26,000. Boston University field was also a possibility.
“We have nothing definite, although Boston University, Fenway Park, Boston College and Harvard Stadium are possibilities. We will take a two-year lease with a renewal option. By that time, Norwood Stadium should be ready. That would be 1962,” Sullivan said.
Boston has fielded two different professional football teams in the past. The Boston Braves/Redskins existed from 1932-1936 then moved to Washington in 1937 and was known as the Washington Redskins.
The other team was known as the Boston Yanks. They played from 1944-1948. The Yanks folded after the conclusion of the 1948 NFL season. “When pro teams failed here before, there was no income from television, and people did not have cars to travel long distances as they can now. This is no hit or miss proposition. The money is in the bank,” Sullivan said.

There’s word that Lawrence might shut it down for the season with that shoulder. I could see it. No real reason to risk it when the team is 2-9 and likely to clean house.

Plus a (probably) better draft pick that way,, and they can grab the OT that the Patriots will be wanting....

Not a bad return for sitting out the rest of a lost season.

Update: He’s practicing for some reason. They’re a dumpster fire and a lost locker room, but there’s some winnable games on the back end of that schedule for them. Could be good news for us.
