Patriots news

Well it looks like the trend of having the leagues smallest coaching staff is over.. this thing has rounded out for sure. Some of these guys gotta be betting that this team turns it around and they'll get a shot in a year or two for a HC gig. It is comforting to know Vrabel has the respect around the league and that some of these guys are willing to take a lower level job to be part of this.

There's still 2-4 very important positions - WRs & CBs coaches - yet to be filled. Despite arguments to the contrary, I hope they're awarded to those who've actually played the positions at the NFL or major college level, or at the very least have coached those positions in the NFL for Many years.

Troy Brown played years of WR in the NFL before being the WR coach. Having played might not be nothing, but it comes close.

Mike Vrabel retained the Patriots’ special teams coaches from the 2024 season after becoming the team’s head coach earlier this month and it looks like they won’t be the only holdovers for the 2025 season.

Mike Reiss of ESPN.com report that the Patriots are also expected to retain Ben McAdoo.

McAdoo was a senior offensive assistant on Jerod Mayo’s staff in 2024. Per Reiss’ report, his responsibilities may change during the 2025 season...

Ben McAdoo is expected to remain on Patriots staff

It's not that I think a great deal of him or anything; I'm just glad that there's at least one familiar voice in our QBs' ears next season.
I wonder if that means that the New Collaboration felt that BMac had more to do with their developments than either AVP or TCMac...

Too bad that Bob Bicknell wasn't also retained.

Still waiting for the WRs & CBs coaches announcements...
