Patriots news

Footwork and mechanics. I’d love for him to just sit in 2024 and watch.

I'm with you. He needs the year, the team around him isn't good enough to protect a rookie with lots of issues (slow windup being a big one), and the team's likely to suck anyway, giving the team one more year of high draft picks and free agency to build up that offense (especially LT and WR).

But, of course, the media wants the kid named as the starter tomorrow. Lessons are never learned in the Boston media market.

*waits for "an unnamed source" to leak out about how the need for this is bb's fault*

He did run a perennial SB contender into the ground to the point where it had the #3 pick in the ground, so, sure...

well good thing he is gone now, Mayo will have us winning a superbowl by year 2 then correct?

Is Brady coming back for next season, and playing a full, healthy, and efficient season when he does? Were the Patriots an 8 win team last season? If not, let's not play this game of equivalency, when there obviously is none.

so the pats will never win again cause they dont have brady? So bill wins 4 games and gets the #3 pick and he's trash. and if Mayo does it and he's new and building for the future? Not real sure what your saying.

extending parker was pretty atrocious then and even more atrocious with hindsight

but i have a bad feeling we're looking at maybe 3 years before we become a playoff contender again, and that all depends on Maye's development.. took Josh Allen 3-4 years before he started to become Josh Allen

Horrific pick by Bill there, too. There was just no reason to reach for him.
He's the talk on Patsfans. Bill traded out of the original pick in a trade to KC and they took Trent McDuffie who's an All Pro. He had a great Super Bowl. I remember he was a popular name posters wanted.
