Patty Mahomes GOAT

Oh he will and he will be succesful at it too. Following the play I will come in here and gloat about it.

maybe so, but id still like to see him try because those types of plays have increased chance of going south

Mahomes is a punk bitch.

That ring against Philly was gifted. That PI in the end zone was horseshit and everyone knows it. Last year the Niners got fucked too.

Mahomes might have been up to five rings now, but Brady took two of them for his own hand after fucking Mahomes up in Arrowhead then annihilating his bitch ass w/ Tampa.

Mahomes will be Russel Wilson in 5 years. He better start winning two Superbowls a year quick-like or his little Kermit bitch ass has no shot.

Your insecurity is showing. It's alright, pal. Brady had a good reign at the top but that's soon going to obliterated by Mahomes

Not possible. Brady owned him when they were in the league together. It’s over.

Mahomes is just another in a long line of Big Bens, Phillip Rivers, Peyton Mannings, Kurt Warners, etcs that were turned into fucking roadkill by the passing of Tom Brady’s time in the NFL.

The Chiefs were a legit Super Bowl contender with Alex fucking Smith as quarterback. Mahomes is the flashiest system quarterback of all time.

Brady fucked him up in his own stadium in the AFC Championship game, then fucked him up again his first year with a new team in a new conference in the Super Bowl.

It’s a forever wrap.

Mahomes two biggest legacy games ever were against Tom Brady, and Tom won them both.

Also, in the Tom Brady era, everyone had to go through a gauntlet of future 1st ballot Hall of Fame quarterbacks to get to the Super Bowl.

All Mahomes has to do is beat Josh Allen and the fucking Bills. Not exactly comparable. Dudes that Brady destroyed would have Montana jewelry in this era of QBs.

I like Joe Burrow. Solid QB, seems like a good teammate, talented guy. But he’s like the consensus second or third best QB in the NFL. In the 2010s he’d be fighting for top 10 recognition.

I'd be bold to say that even Mahomes would be struggling for top 5 recognition

Not so sure about that. I think he’d be top 5 in any year in 2010. The rest of the current crop? Not even close.

Going to put the top 10 in passing yards for a few years, before the big declines of Brees/Peyton, so people can compare game levels:

I think having today's QBs crack a list with, say, early 2010s (no particular order)

Brady
Peyton
Rodgers
Brees
Roethlisberger
Luck
Rivers

is going to be tough to do. Not to diminish today's QBs, but we were in a high period for QBs in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I'm not 100% sure even Mahomes would crack a top 5 among the group of Brady/Peyton/Rodgers/Brees/Luck/Roethlisberger, though I'm not ruling it out (I'm just not delving deeper right this moment)

I'd also add the defenses back then were more formidable than the ones nowadays

The rule changes have distorted what players are good these days.

Brady already won 3 titles by the time changed the rules and it took several years later before it turned into what we see today. The Carson Palmer injury raised the question in 2005 and it became a rule in 2008 when Brady got injured.

I've been watching old games in the late 90's and you'd constantly see some of the all time greats constantly having something nagging them after a tackle. This new generation has really benefited from the GOATS we grew up watching.

Sort of...

Palmer's injury led to the rule. Brady's injury led to the modification of that rule:

The Carson Palmer Rule

Andy Lyons/Getty Images
A rushing defender is prohibited from forcibly hitting in the knee area or below a passer who has one or both feet on the ground, even if the initial contact is above the knee. It is not a foul if the defender is blocked (or fouled) into the passer and has no opportunity to avoid him. The rule came after Carson Palmer and other quarterbacks suffered knee injuries due to low hits.

Stupidest post I've ever seen posted here. Mahomes would be top 3 in any era

3 Peat starts in less than 48 hours

The idea that Mahomes would be in the top 3 if added to that group is, to keep it from getting too far into numbers and the like, questionable. And that's just the most recent "loaded" QB era. One could do the same thing with earlier times.
