Super Bowl 58 Pregame Thread: 49ers versus Chiefs

We had janitors playing on the Oline that game. Mahomes was under duress and was pressured 21 times a superbowl record. Brady wouldn't even have scored 9 pts
Except the second half of the regular season the Chiefs were shutout with a healthy Oline once Bowles stopped being retarded and gave Davis help vs Hill.

As Pats fans we respected the rings argument. No one argued that Brady should move ahead of Montana when he won three rings, got jinxed out of an undefeated season, and lost another Super Bowl on a dropped pass, even though he had surpassed Montana in every era adjusted individual and team stat. Even when he won his 4th and played arguably the best 4th quarter of all time to beat Seattle, almost all Patriots fans deferred to ring count and said he was tied with Montana, not ahead of him, and we even had to listen to moronic takes that 4-2 with two bad luck losses is somehow worse than 4-0 (with blowout losses in NFCCGs.)

Now we’re hearing that 2 rings makes you GOAT cuz skillz. Chiefs fans combined with the typical hot take media are going down in history one day as the eternal Cold Take champions. Kind of reminiscent of the Seahawks Dynasty club but on a much larger scale.

You're proving my point. Tampa Bay was a stacked team HOF talent all around

Brady is still the GOAT, but Mahomes is coming. Patriots fans on Twitter are so scared they're always talking about us

@Lord Dingleberry Can you make a prop bet for either Jackson Mahomes or Patty Sr. getting arrested Super Bowl day? One of them is bound to fuck up.

Jackson Mahomes arrested before midnight Sunday. (+900)

Pat Sr gets another DUI before midnight Sunday (+550)
Pat Sr kills a pedestrian or another driver before midnight Sunday (+700)

Travis Swift has a Damar Hamlin moment when the clot shot kicks in during the game (+250)

Travis Swift is revealed as the real father of Pat and Skank's (forgot her name) baby (+400)

Patrick Mahomes comes out of the closet after the game (-150)

That's all I've got. There should be more than enough to bet by now. Leave me alone, people.

No they weren't lmao
Again besides the Washington game they were underdogs in each of their postseason games.
They didn't get a normal offseason, were a Vikings game loss away from missing the postseason altogether.
That was just a vintage Tom Brady postseason run

Schwartz had been out for a long time. The Chiefs had the same players that got them to 16-1 except for Fisher. Losing a LT is rough but let’s not act like this was a 30 point swing. The Chiefs moved the ball fine their first few drives. Mahomes missed a wide open Hardman on the first drive which would have been a 30 yard completion. As the game went on Mahomes became progressively more skittish and desperate to make a highlight play.

It’s also notable he may have had an all-time bad stat line had the Bucs not gone into a soft zone in the third quarter with a big lead. Almost all of his 270 yards were uncontested by the defense. He had less than 100 yards in the 3rd Q when the Bucs started trading clock for yardage.

Lmao the Chiefs were favored you dunce.
Bucs were never a stacked team until after they won. They weren't even favored to win the division and they didn't either

yea the narrative after Brady won was ridiculous

they went from the "Tampa Bay Succanneers" that hadnt sniffed a playoff in like 20 years, and then Brady delivers them a SB title and suddenly Tampa was the most stacked team of all time

media always pushing a narrative
