Dunno. It was a bad play call…an out on the far side? Good call to go for it while only needing 2 yards down 17-3 just before halftime of a playoff game….
They were already down 14, and reeling, particularly on offense. They gave up 5 or 6 sacks in that first half. The QB had been shitting himself for a game and a half.
You punt there, hope your defense can prevent an entire field drive, and regroup at the half.
