Tom Brady & Patriots Dynasty Divinity Thread

Mahomes is only 28 he will have a shot to get there.
Yeah most of those guys stopped winning championships after their 20s.

Let me say 1st that I'm not as well versed with Patriots history as you guys are but to answer your questions...
1. Brady had Randy Moss for two full seasons and didn't win a Superbowl. Mahomes had Tyreek for 4 years and managed to win 1 so I put that as a Mahomes win if you're referring to Hill...

Brady had Moss for one healthy season. In that healthy season, the team went undefeated in the regular season, and went to the SB before a badly injured team was beaten with the aid of terrible officiating and a helmet catch. Brady missed essentially all of 2008, and was recovering from the ACL surgery in 2009. Moss was a shell of himself in 2010, and he was shipped out after complaining about his contract. If you're going to shill for Mahomes, don't be obviously misleading.

2. Brady had a healthy Gronk throughout the playoffs in the years(correct me if I'm wrong)
2010, 2012, 2014(SB win), 2015, 2017, 2018(SB Win) 2020(SB Win) that's 7 years full healthy while Mahomes has had Kelce 6 years and Brady has 3 w/Gronk compared to Mahomes 2 with Travis. I'd think this is a toss up.

Wait... Even using your positions,... Why is 3-2 for Brady a toss up, but 1-0 for Mahomes a Mahomes win?

3. Peyton is Joe Burrow or maybe Lamar if Lamar manages to beat us and Big Ben is Josh Allen.

The honest answer you're looking for is "There isn't any. There isn't even a Rodgers or Brees, though some of the young guys might develop".

It's closer than you think.

No, it's not. And that's not a knock on Mahomes. That's just Brady being that good. I mean, Brady had been to the Super Bowl an average of every other year as a starter until his last season threw off the number. And that's not from some short term run like a Mahomes or a Bradshaw, it's from a full 20+ freaking years.

21 full years as a starter, 10 SB appearances, most of that time without the firepower that the other top QBs had helping them.

Mahomes is only 28 he will have a shot to get there.

he relies too much on his physical ability.. that is going to fall off of a cliff into his 30s

Brady never relied on physical speed, he was as pure pocket passer and the GOAT QB

Mahomes has a clock on him ticking away and he's losing hall of fame talent to retirement/trades

Also as you win more, teams come carve your team down in free agency and by stealing away assistant coaches, etc... that is why its so insanely hard to SUSTAIN that kind of success over a long period of time

Chiefs have done a good job, they've been a contender for like 10 years, but they only have 2 titles and Mahomes has another 10+ years to sustain what hes doing to even be in the conversation with Brady

Eh, I kinda disagree. He runs smart. He's like the anti-Josh Allen. His physical ability shouldn't have a huge drop off unless there are major injuries.

Yeah on that I agree too. He also does that gay shit where he pretends to run out of bounds but doesn't to pick up a few more yards

Which is gay, as you said, but also effective, because the idiots always fall for it. He's also not particularly fast, just a smart runner.

Not really. Before Mahomes, many media pundits were saying Rodgers would overtake Brady.
Rodgers never got to another Superbowl. Mahomes about to be in his 4th Superbowl with a 80 percent chance he goes back to back.

The other team should smash him and take the 15 yard penalty. When asked what their thinking is, postgame, they should cite all the instances where he pretends to run out but stays in bounds.

Agree…I think being very shrewd about when to run is one of his best skills.

i mean i didn't think big dumb ben would make it as long as he did either...strictly because he was almost exclusively reliant on his physical skill.

Someone coached him up to stop running - that's what saved him.
