To be real, there’s so much wrong with everyone after probably #3 that they should all be divided by tiers rather than any order.
Take Elway for example. Clutch in mediocre situations for his day, had strong skill-set, played in era without true parity when NFC teams were talent stacked by comparison.
Also couldn’t win dick. Eventually got a Super Bowl send off with a RB that was averaging over 5 yards a carry in the post season + fiddling with salary cap loopholes.
Also Dan Marino. “Best this, best that, quickest release, blah blah blah.”
Couldn’t beat post-season defenses. Another QB media creams itself over for lighting up the #23rd ranked pass defense in September.
How do you even quantify this?
Tom Brady’s on-the-field game and accomplishments, even with shit luck, shattered all these top ten lists like glass.
