NFL GameDay Week 13 Gameday Thread

GameDay Discussion
Mayo is not the coach for this team.

Our QB could win on this team rebuilt with bunches of coaches, and make them look good or better than they are. Mayo isn’t winning as HC with bunches of QBs.

If I’m Kraft and I’m not trying to be a Rooney I’m looking at Mayo wondering why the fuck we lost to the 2014 AFC Finalists with how irredeemably hillbilly-gay they are.

Time to bring back Belichick. I'm not seeing any better options out there. The question is, how do you approach him without him hanging up the phone? He is clearly pissed at Robert.

We are in luck, because I've already thought about this and I have a solution. I am willing to offer him my 18 year old side piece, who would be a massive upgrade over Jordan Hudson. She's younger, and significantly hotter.

Belichick and Maye could do some damage together. We already know what Belichick can do with an all-time great QB.
If you’re Kraft, you have to offer to livestream your knelt, groveling apology, and beg him to come back with full authority over everything.

Make it happen.

BTW, is it now time to say that Bryce Young getting benched has helped his game?
I think it has. He’s more adverse to making risky throws. He’s still a midget, though.

We pretty much should have known he was going to be garbage once he had to lean into the DEI thing to deflect from his qualifications for the position at his introductory presser.

I’m good. I was fine with keeping him as long as he surrendered the GM duties. He’s washed as a GM, but not as a coach.

I've been nervous about him from the start, but I'm going to give him through next year to learn and adapt. And maybe he'll figure out that "he's black" has no place as a meaningful hiring point in the NFL, unless you're talking about cornerbacks or running backs.

Maye would have probably turned a lot of Belichick’s Mac Jones seasons into playoff seasons. Cam and Mac Jones were both fucking terrible. What’s done is done but if we kept Belichick, I’d feel a lot better about the surrounding fundamentals around the QB prospect.

Culture seems to completely suck. Decision making seems weak.

But doesn’t matter. Belichick probably won’t even be good when he comes back. It’ll be like Jimmy Johnson on the Dolphins— there will be a few pictures of him in a goofy winter coat, he’ll break the record, nobody will really care, but it’ll be stamped in the books, so his name will be mentioned that much more often in the future.

Unless he goes to Philly. That’s the only Belichick landing that has cool potential.

Belichick was a shitty coach at the end. Let's not go rewriting history. He wasn't winning anything with this team. And he probably wouldn't have done anything with Maye, because he'd probably have traded out of the first round in order to get a few more second round picks to blow on WRs and CBs.

He needed to be fired, and it was years overdue. Maybe the kick in the ass that is a shit-canning like he got will help him get back his coaching game.

If he goes to Jacksonville I don’t even care.

I mean, fair, but.
