What I don’t understand is this - does Williams not have the authority to call timeout in that situation? The Bears were scrambling with 36 seconds left and had to get their receivers back to the huddle. Not trying to excuse Eberflus because what the fuck was he doing? He wouldn’t even get back on the plane were I their owner.
I want to know why it's the fault of Eberflus that the OL allowed the sack on the QB draw, and why it's the fault of Eberflus that the team couldn't line up quickly.
It’s just the vultures in the media trying to get ratings. He doesn’t get excused for leaving a timeout on the clock, but neither should Williams. You’re the captain of the offense. Most important position on the field. Call the timeout when these idiots are running around with their hair on fire and talk it over with your coach.
