NFL GameDay Week 17 GDT

GameDay Discussion
If that kick had been good, those officials would have needed secret service protection.

Until I read this post just now, I had ass-umed that the Commandos had lost because I shut-off the TV while the ball was in flight, thinking the attempt was good and the game was over... Eliot Wolf should be jumping for joy somewhere, that incompetent motherfucker.

Washington did what a lot of us wanted the Patriots to do. They used free agency to plug holes and improve the team instead of using the re-signing of the team's own free agents as an excuse to cheap out in actual free agency.

Everyone with any kind of football brain knew that the Patriots needed to add wrs, including a WR1, and to fix the OL. Frankly, it was so obvious that I really have to wonder if Wolf might have been hamstrung by the Patriots demands regarding the purse strings.

I mean, just think of what could easily have been, just at the WR position, with an open checkbook and an intelligent draft decision:

Ridley
McConkey
Bourne
Douglas
Boutte

Is that Super Bowl caliber? It wouldn't be this year. Is that playoff caliber? Well, here's the Chargers WR/TE list (notably, with McConkey):
