WWE News: Vince getting sued for sexual abuse and trafficking

Cody finished his story and my mans CM Punk keeps screwing with McinTyre. All is well

Whose going to dethrone Cody Rhodes ? Randy Orton looks like a good bet

Randy Orton is still my prediction of being the champion. Yes I am talking to myself but as soon as more wrestling fans sign up for this board I will be King.

Maybe @Kontradiction can offer a free 6-pack and Banjo to each poster who hits 100 posts here?
I'm a professional wrestling hardcore fan. I consider myself part of the IWC(internet wrestling community) so you can call me a mark.

I am a historical wrestling mark. Don't keep up as much on the current product. Anything 80's to mid 2000's for me.

In your opinion what killed WCW? 83 weeks beating the WWF in ratings at the time will never happen again

Death by a thousand paper cuts. But two major issues stand out to me.

1. Turner Executives - They forbid Bischoff from moving beyond PG content. This made it impossible to compete with the WWF beginnings of Attitude era.

2. NWO - It was the reason for their run, but it soon became a hindrance. Every midcarder had an NWO shirt. It became idiotic and watered down. Hogan/Hall/Nash fatigue set in. And the cool heel is really selfish. A heel needs to be hated. These guys played the cool heel role, stealing all the heat from the emasculated supposed babyfaces. Three wrestlers with creative control, are supposed to be heels, but suck up for cool heel cheers. It starts off hot but has a short shelf life.

Young pups.

I saw my first live rasslin' card in January 1974, at the Boston Gahden...

Captain! Good to see you. It's Dingleberry. Or I used to be Dingleberry.

Take a look at Kontra's welcome thread on the main board. This place is fun. AND UNCENSORED!

Was Bruno the champ, or was this during the Pedro Morales run?

It was his first title defense in Boston after defeating Staziak at MSG a few weeks earlier to start his 2nd reign.

I attended Bs & Cs games, concerts & boxing matches at the Gahden; but rare was the time when a crowd there popped louder than it did when Sammartino was making a comeback vs a hated opponent... Deafening...

Loved the old grimy Boston Garden.

Saw some wrestling there in the 80's. Lots of Bruins games.

Same here... After I left the Marines in 1986, Celtics tickets were Impossible to acquire without paying scalper prices, so the only time I saw Larry Bird live was a couple of times at Hartford and during training camp at Hellenic College... I saw quite a few Bs games during that time however (including their sweet comeback vs Montreal down 2-0 very late in the game on my 30th birthday in November 1989), and that was a 180 from before the time I entered the Corps in '78 when I saw a bunch of Cowens/Havlicek/JoJo White games but never any Orr/Esposito games, sadly...

One word: Hogan.
Plus the Attitude Era. The company basically took the governor off language and pushed it to the brink. They also started showing Raw live after Bischoff when on Nitro and read off the results. WCW was dead from that moment on. It was just a matter of time.
