WWE News: Vince getting sued for sexual abuse and trafficking

Same here... After I left the Marines in 1986, Celtics tickets were Impossible to acquire without paying scalper prices, so the only time I saw Larry Bird live was a couple of times at Hartford and during training camp at Hellenic College... I saw quite a few Bs games during that time however (including their sweet comeback vs Montreal down 2-0 very late in the game on my 30th birthday in November 1989), and that was a 180 from before the time I entered the Corps in '78 when I saw a bunch of Cowens/Havlicek/JoJo White games but never any Orr/Esposito games, sadly...

@captain stone - Marines - tough, loyal sons of bitches. Worked for a Marine Gunny when I was deployed to Bosnia - awesome SNCO.

@Kontradiction - can we get a crayon font in honor of the Jarhead? HE's been out long enough so he shouldn't try eating the monitor.

One word: Hogan.
I think Hogan was just a reason but not the main one. My opinion it was just the merger that ended up being their undoing. Ted lost majority and he didn't have a voice anymore. Since the directors hated wrestling for the most part they just needed an excuse to pull the plug.

Plus the Attitude Era. The company basically took the governor off language and pushed it to the brink. They also started showing Raw live after Bischoff when on Nitro and read off the results. WCW was dead from that moment on. It was just a matter of time.
Yeah the Attitude Era pushed them to the edge, but I think if the merger wouldn't have happened WCW would've competed a bit longer. The free fall was already there though when WCW announced Mankind as champion to 'spoil' the Raw ending

The Benoit-Sullivan backstory was full of drama as well.

RIP to a legend in the business
