2025 Draft thread

If, if, IF by some miracle the Saints want to trade up from #9, what would be a return that is reasonable and would make you happy?

If he busts as a tackle, he's obviously got the ability to play guard, meaning you'd just move him inside and lock up a guard position for 5+ years. So this is one of the rare instances where a player busting after being chosen in the top 5 doesn't have to be devastating to his team. On the other hand, drafting defensive linemen, or linebackers, or CBs, or QBs (etc...) means that you either hit on exactly what you were hoping to hit on or you've wasted your pick.
I've pretty much resigned to that fact this will be our pick. I wouldn't even mind if they double up on the Oline at 38 either. Build through the trenches and give the kid his best chance to stay upright. I'd like to look back in a couple years and say "yeah that was a boring draft but we got two good starting linemen". For this season I feel like they can get by with the WR's, yes draft another one and you need 4 or 5 to emerge out of 8 or 9 (probably more after UFA's).

I'm holding out hope for the dual threat until that hope is officially destroyed. And I'm not particularly invested in any other pick at #4. So my plan is to give the pick a chance, unless the team gets really stupid, like drafting a linebacker with basketball calves, or a power guy who's already physically maxed out, like a Vernon Gholston.
