2023-24 Boston Celtics & NBA Thread

I think it’s, mercifully, over after tonight. Horford is hitting 3s and we can’t hit shit.

Miami needs a real center. Until they get that, they've got no shot at the title.

I don't want to go counting the chickens just yet, but a 35 point lead with 5 minutes to go should be safe, even for a Boston team. If this were an Atlanta team, I might still be worried.

By the way, fuck the NBA for not having better/honest officiating:

Yet another late mistake by officials has marred the ending of one of the most exciting finishes in the 2024 NBA postseason. Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey made two phenomenal clutch plays to force overtime in Tuesday's wild 112-106 Game 5 win over the New York Knicks. On Wednesday, however, the league admitted that one of them shouldn't have counted.

In the Last Two-Minute Report from Game 5, the NBA said that Maxey's four-point play with 25 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter should have been waved off due to a traveling violation.

"Maxey gathers the ball on his left foot, takes two legal steps, and then moves his right foot again just before he is fouled on his shot," the report stated.

Is there a player better than Luka when he's on his game?

Is there a player better than Luka when he's on his game?
Yes, basically any above average player. Luka is too ball centric to make his teammates better on offense and sucks on defense.

They need to stop hiring Doc Rivers lol

Yeah.... Griffin must be celebrating this outcome.

Also from what this year has shown us super teams aren't the way to go anymore.

They can work, but the chemistry has to be right, and the NBA has made them more difficult to create and sustain.

I'd like to congratulate, and thank, the Knicks for doing what the Bruins could not do and closing out their series tonight.
I think the Panthers will beat whoever comes out of this series alive.
