2023-24 Boston Celtics & NBA Thread

Competitive Western Conference. I feel the Nuggets will win it still though
Four interesting teams with very different strengths.

Steph only scored 9 pts and we still beat the ailing 76ers. I still know the season is lost, but credit to the boys for still trying

Dude.... the 76ers without Embid is like the Lakers without LeNarcissist and AD. There's just no way any good team would lose to them.

<cough>

No really big splashes this trade deadline.

The Celtics had to overcome a 6 point halftime deficit against the Wizards tonight. They won, but this kind of thing has been happening too often in the recent past.

Got a bad defensive night from the Cs tonight but the win is all that matters

My Dubs went 4-1 on their road trip we are showing signs of life!

The Celtics need to be looking at the buyout market, too (I know that Dimwiddie wasn't technically a part of that since he was a waiver guy, but the point remains the same).

Spencer Dinwiddie plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers once he clears waivers, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. Dinwiddie was one of the most highly sought-after players on the buyout market alongside Kyle Lowry, who is expected to receive a buyout in the near future. One of his former teams, the Dallas Mavericks, were among the contenders to pursue him.

However, Dinwiddie ultimately elected to sign with the Lakers after attending Friday's victory over the New Orleans Pelicans with general manager Rob Pelinka. Dinwiddie, a Los Angeles native, has been linked to the Lakers for years now. There was never a trade on the table that made sense for both sides, but now that the Lakers can add Dinwiddie without sacrificing assets, the time was right to bring the Californian home...

They’re just trudging to the All Star break and we might not see them claw again until playoffs. Barring injury, top seed is all but locked up, and avoiding injury and over usage will be their priority now.

We hit .500 and beat a good team, boys! 5-1 over last 6

How fun we are signing old man Kyle Lowry 🤦‍♂️

They're hitting their stride at the right time and getting contributions from the young players. Still ways to go though for me to consider them a threat in the West.
