After one of their performances earlier this week - at home no less - is it ok to call this bunch The Three-Chuckers...?

They're the most talented team in the NBA, by a fairly wide margin. And, yet, because of the asinine style of basketball they play, they can't win games if they can't hit 3 point shots at a high percentage, since they've got no plan b in their system. Mazzula should be embarrassed about that, but he doubles down about it instead.

Does anyone else remember the parade downtown for Cheers' 200th episode? I think it was in January, because it was dam cold out... What was extra cool was that newly-acquired Bruin Dave Poulin was in the same open-roofed car as Rhea Perlman; didn't recognize him at first, but was damn glad to have him instead of that fucking rat Ken Linesman, whom I NEVER liked as a player, at all.

During one of the matchups against the Lakers, Larry Bird traveled to Los Angeles with his team and took a taxi to the local basketball courts. He told the taxi driver to watch closely if he wanted to see something extraordinary. Larry played one-on-one basketball for $10 a game with anyone who wanted to challenge him—all day long. And he didn’t lose a single game! He defeated local players, streetballers, college players, and even professional basketball players one after another.
At the end of the day, he told the taxi driver to take him back to the hotel and paid him the entire amount he had earned from basketball—around $350. Then he said to the driver: "I did this just so you sun-kissed [expletives] from Los Angeles would be scared every time you see green (a nod to the Boston Celtics)."

I'm not a Boston Celtics fan that's not why I love Larry Bird. I'm from Orange county,Indiana. A small rural county in Southern Indiana. It was very poor but slightly better these days. It consists of Orleans (my hometown) Paoli and French Lick/West Baden. We love our hoops and our local hoop heros. The movie Hoosiers is pretty accurate. Growing up in the 70s/80s we all wanted to be Larry Bird. And it's special because a poor kid from our poor area made it big, like one of the greatest of all time big. And throughout my life I will brag....Oh yeah Larry Bird? Yeah he's from where I'm from and we can stand taller and be proud and feel like we made it big in some way too.
