Aaron Rodgers Legacy Watch: Can You Even Favre, Bro?

I think the Jets will get thrashed, but it IS Week 1. Anything could happen. On paper, they don’t match up well with this 49ers team as we know them. Especially on the other side of the country.
Like Belichick disciples, the fist pumping-receipt keeping HC knows the Shanahan offense well. However, I could see a low snap count on Aiyuk which could limit their big plays.

I need to trail your picks

If the Jets lose to the Titans, the NY Media will start feasting on a Hall of Fame quarterback that’s known nothing but praise.

Rodgers has never demonstrated the leadership or capacity for culture-creation to hold back the locker room ramifications of a season meltdown with a hostile media.

Better start going their way quick.

It’s always an overreaction to talk about must-win games after week #1 but they better start winning some games lol

Rodgers didn’t look too bad, _but_.

I’m watching this Rodger’s documentary mini-series thing on Netflix and all I can say is WTF lmao.

So far my favorite part is when some dude Rodger’s hired for some bullshit was referring to him as “the most famous quarterback in the league,” and Rodger’s corrected him, “one of them.”

lol

Anyway, it’s not looking like Rodger’s will match Favre.

Now Rodger’s is taking magic medicine through steam with jungle people, and talking to his ancestors who live in the rocks.

Sounds something I'd do in my 50s

The weird thing is Favre damaged his legacy more than Rodgers. The retrospective on Rodgers will be that he was just washed up; Favre’s meltdown in NY and chokejob in MN were legendary. I’m glad that Rodgers toxicity was brought to the public eye a little more, though, although for whatever reason people just don’t despise him as much as they should. He and LeBron are the two most toxic superstars of this era.

Rodgers still has time to damage his legacy further. LOL He's not going away anytime soon and him getting Selah fired in week 5 pretty much sealed the season being a dumpster fire.

I will never understand the love for Rodgers or Lebron. They wreak havoc no matter where they go.

Also Rodgers just hit 500 TDs which is hard to believe he does not have more. Brady is at 649. Just a few years ago, many thought he might catch Brady if he played well in his 40s. They were wrong.

Cause he does throw a pretty football in his prime. Just overrated by cheeseheads and the media

I did love watching him play in his prime. Same for Favre. But both are pinheads. LOL

Both are overrated. it would be funny as hell if Jordan love wound up being an integral reason for a couple of Super Bowl wins and that have to admit how overrated those other 2 were.
For me favre is just an absolute douchebag completely and totally in every possible way. Rogers is just a bit of a strange bird and maybe a little bit dickish.

I gained respect for him when he told the league and media to GFY over the clot shot. We already knew he was kind of a douche to others.

Me too. I started to like him when he said "I've been immunized." LOL

Dudes it was insufferable for almost a decade with Favre. I remember espn being non stop Favre bullshit from 2003 through 2006-ish

That’s crazy. I’ve followed football close as fuck from like 1995 - 2023 and for some reason my brain had Favre out of the league in like 2004.

I have a hard time hating Favre. He was tough as nails, usually gave it his all (except when sack-records were at stake), he had a fucking missile-pass and he basically just played backyard football like you would with your friends, but at the pro level.

Trying to think about who my third favorite quarterback would be after Brady and Bledsoe, and it’s probably Favre.
