All things Belichick

Come on, now. You don't win in 2001 with Drew Bledsoe under center against the Rams.

Bledsoe was garbage.

And Brady doesn't win if BB doesn't design the way to shut down the greatest show on turf. Ditto the last SB against the Rams. Holding that team to 3 points was legendary.

I wouldn't say Bledsoe was garbage. He saved our ass against the Steelers after Brady went down.

The second Rams SB had an injured and ineffective Gurley and no Kupp. Goff was also not the same QB as he is now.

The first SB vs Warner and that O was legendary.

Holding ANY SB team to 3 points is legendary. It just doesn't happen. No they weren't an offensive juggernaut, but they were an impressive offense that year even without Kupp. Belichick out coached and out classed the young boy offensive wonder that day.

But yes, the first SB was even more impressive. No doubt.

They advanced, that's what counts. He did what he was supposed to do.

Agreed. He stepped in. His performance in that game has been built up over the years though as something it wasn't. Two typical Bledsoe INT's (in Pats territory) were there for the taking. Thankfully, Shitsburgh didn't come down with them.

It is what it is.

If Belichick starts coaching college to nepotism his son a future gig I’ll almost not even like him anymore.

Seeing what’s-his-face describe Bledsoe’s style as a “Wildebeest under siege” was accurate as fuck.

I saw a segment on fox pre-game that had gronk Brady and Edelman and not one of them could see bill coaching in college and I have to agree.

He is literally interviewing at UNC. It's happening if they actually hire him.

yeah...that has nothing to do with their comments.

Why did they say they could not see him coaching college?
Your comment made it sound like they were saying that no college would ever hire him because you said are there literally interviewing him right now. That's not what they meant is that no one would hire him in college.

So they believed a college would not hire him or that he would struggle coaching within the college game?

they said they didn't think he'd like dealing with certain things. pretty sure even most players who aren't fond of him wouldn't say he's a shitty coach.

I think we all think that TBH. He has been in the NFL his entire coaching career. I think some of the things college football has done over the last few years would really rub Bill the wrong way. I mean there is a reason why Saban left. But I also get that he still wants to coach at some level. I do think it is strange that no team in the NFL is approaching him. I do wonder if something really bad happened at the end with Kraft and he has been black balled. He only needs 15 more wins to catch Shula ...

Teams will be approaching him not long after black Monday.
