General chit chat and shit talk.

If your wife had a significant windfall or won the lottery would you be a stay at home Dad

Of course. Work is a necessity. When it is no longer a necessity, I wouldn't let anything take away from more family time.

i know a mechanical engineer who's a consultant partly because he's the better parent. his wife works far fewer hours than he does. 40-60/month i think. she's an e.r. dr.

An ER doc with only 50-60 hours a month? Where is this, Mayberry?

My day at Gillette:

Well. I went to see the Patriots/Jets game a few weeks ago. I was 3 rows behind the Pats bench at around the 35 yard line. My friend and I got there early and since neither of drink, we went into the stadium rather than tailgating. We had already smoked a couple of joints and ate some edibles before going in and I brought in a vape that I used during the game. It was a beautiful day, I wore a thermal shirt with a Maye jersey over it and I was comfortable sitting there. Acting like a 65 year old fanboy, I got my hat signed by Pop Douglas and Bourne.

I won the tickets in a charity auction for the Make a Wish foundation and the person who donated the tickets also had a pair he used for the game and sat next to us. He was pretty sloshed when I met him and his friend. So of course I thanked him for donating the tickets and giving me a chance to see the Pats up close like that. He was actually a pretty good guy and apparently he does some consulting for the Pats. He also said he's donating the tickets again next year, so I'll be all over them.

It was a great experience for me. It kind of crossed off an item on my bucket list. I had been to Pats games but always in the nosebleed seats, so this was something special for me.

To summarize, great weather, great seats and a great ending to the game. Pats won with 22 seconds left over our hated rivals. It was a good fucking day!!

That's awesome! My best game experience was very similar. Free tickets, early November, sunny and 65 out, 8 or so rows back on the 45 yard line, visitor side though. Huge blowout win over the Texans with David Carr.

Best memory for me ... A tie between 1985 Pats-Bengals, or 1982 Snow Plow game.

Although 2014's On To Cincinnati is very close (Only game I have seen at Gillette)

In 1995, McArthur Wheeler robbed a Fidelity Savings Bank and a Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, PA, on the same day. According to police, he was accompanied by an accomplice, Clifton Earl Johnston. In order to disguise himself, Wheeler covered his face in lemon juice. Lemon juice has been used as a type of "invisible ink"; when used as ink on paper and allowed to dry, lemon juice only appears when heated. Wheeler used this fact as a basis to reason that placing unheated lemon juice on his face would render him invisible to bank security cameras. Police reviewed the video of the robberies and were able to arrest Wheeler the same day. The video tape was played on the 11 o'clock news; within minutes an informant had provided police with McArthur Wheeler's name and by 12:15 AM he was in police custody. When shown the surveillance tape from the robberies, Wheeler was shocked and objected: "But I wore the juice".
