When I first started really watching pro 'rasslin' I thought that Vivian Vachon was the cutest of the ladies at that time... Medusa Miceli in the late '80s... Marlena...

I think it will deliver. They are gonna throw everything they have at this.
I sure as hell hope so. I think it'll also help that only the wrestling fans will be watching and not 100 million + like the NFL.

Being from the east coast and of a certain age, we didn't know about the Crippler's earlier career as a singles wrester; it was mainly his tag-team work with Nick Bockwinkel that defined him for us when we first started reading The Wrestler and Inside Wrestling magazines in 1972/73... We also saw him (and many others from the AWA) in the 1974 movie The Wrestler, which was promoted heavily during the Championship Wrestling (Ch 56) & All-Star Wrestling (TV 38) programs, by Vince Junior himself... It helped open-up that other, non-WWWF world, from the magazines to the big screen (the Park Street Theater at Fields Corner in Dorchester, to be specific). Good times, good times...

On December 17, 1979 Hulk Hogan made his Madison Square Garden debut against Ted DiBiase. Billed as “The Fabulous” Hulk Hogan, but announced as “The Incredible” Hulk Hogan by Howard Finkel, it was a rare WWF matchup between a heel Hogan (with Freddie Blassie) and a face DiBiase. After the match, Hogan thanked DiBiase for putting him over and told him that he "owed him one", a favor that he would end up repaying during DiBiase's second run with the WWF in the late 1980s and early 1990s as "The Million Dollar Man".
