Commanders head coach Dan Quinn noted on Tuesday that running back Austin Ekeler was in Virginia after being diagnosed with a concussion during Monday’s victory over the Bengals.

With the Commanders in Arizona for the week to practice before taking on the Cardinals, Quinn formally ruled Ekeler out during his Wednesday press conference.

“Yeah, Austin won’t make it for the game,” Quinn said, noting that it’s the right call for Ekeler given the short week. "[W]e’ll have a chance to see what next week looks like then.”...

...The team hopes to have Kamara back for this weekend’s trip to Atlanta, but they know center Erik McCoy will be out. McCoy has been placed on injured reserve due to the groin injury that knocked him out early in the loss to the Eagles. A report this week indicated McCoy will miss 6-8 weeks, but Allen said that the team doesn’t have a timeline beyond the four games he’ll have to miss while on the list...

Denver will not have one of its key defensive players for the rest of the season.

Head coach Sean Payton announced at the start of his Wednesday press conference that linebacker Alex Singleton tore his ACL during Sunday’s victory over the Buccaneers. Singleton will be placed on injured reserve.

Singleton did not miss a defensive snap in Week 3 despite suffering the injury midway through the game. Payton said he played two-thirds of the game with the injury...

...Wide receiver Darius Slayton is listed as questionable to play due to the thumb injury that limited him in practice all of this week. Slayton has seven catches for 66 yards so far this season.

The Giants also ruled out a pair of cornerbacks. Adoree’ Jackson and Dru Phillips will both miss the game with calf injuries. Nick McCloud, Deonte Banks, Cor’Dale Flott, and Tre Hawkins are the other corners on the roster. Isaiah Simmons has also seen time as a nickel back...

The Cardinals have lost defensive tackle Justin Jones for the season.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon shared the news at his Wednesday press conference. Jones suffered a triceps injury and will be placed on injured reserve.

Jones started the first three games of the year for Arizona and recorded four tackles and a fumble recovery. The former Charger and Bear joined the Cardinals on a three-year deal as a free agent this offseason...

He's always on the verge of missing significant time. For all his talent, he unfortunately doesn't seem to have the durability.

That's true too, I think the reporting around the injurie(s) were a bit fishy also.
