NFL General News

Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was involved in a car accident Tuesday, the team announced. Dalton's wife, three kids and family dog were also in the car at the time of the accident.

A positive is that no one from Dalton's car was transported by emergency medical personnel. Dalton is being evaluated by the Panthers' medical staff...

They should make that move, Evans comes back for a playoff run with Kupp acclimated to the offense.

And Godwin's a guy the Patriots should seriously consider going after in free agency after the season.

I have liked Godwin for a long time, he's a top tier #2 - big slot WR.

My only (non-injury) concern about bringing him in is the slotting. With Pop Douglas and Bourne, and still having the need for a WR1, would it make more sense to spend the money elsewhere? Personally, I'd be very comfortable with having

Wr1
Godwin
Douglas
Bourne

as the team's top 4, and Polk and the rest would be welcome to fight for the 1-2 spots below that.

It'll be interesting to see if we are able to attract FA's next offseason. With a guy like Godwin there's a decent possibility he just wants to stay with Tampa. We already know a couple trade target guys flat out don't want to be here. Maybe playing Drake this season points that arrow in the right direction. Here's the list of FA's going into next year.. IMO the clear target is Higgins

Put me in the "very wary" column when it comes to the idea of having Higgins as my team's WR1.

I know man I've been in that camp this whole time.. but guys like him are so rare, especially available as a free agent. It wouldn't take much to talk me into it..

It’s a good move for the Chiefs overall and it will be an improvement but I also don’t like the fit. Hopkins isn’t very shifty and isn’t a YAC guy, nor is he a burner any more. I think this is more like a reliable #2 receiver who can run routes and catch balls, not a game changer.
Probably secures the 3 peat honestly.
League is retarded

They basically just need a warm body out there who can get 3-4 catches a game. Hopkins does that.

@Dingleberry could you post NFL MVP futures odds please? I’m betting my entire bankroll on this pick.
