NFL History

On December 12, 1982 “The Snowplow Game” took place in a matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots at Schaefer Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Due to icy conditions, the game remained scoreless until late in the 4th quarter, when the snowplow operator (Mark Henderson) was called in to clear a spot on the snowy field by Patriots head coach Ron Meyer specifically for New England kicker John Smith so he could kick the game-winning field goal to give the Patriots a 3–0 win. Fans Dolphins head coach Don Shula, angry with the move and believing it to be against the league rules, pointed out that the league's unfair act clause allowed the league to overturn the game result. Henderson, a convict on work release, jokingly remarked, "What are they gonna do, throw me in jail?" The following year, the NFL banned the use of snowplows on the field during a game

The Broncos achieved a resounding 45-10 victory over the New England Patriots. Robin, dressed as his iconic character Mork from Ork from the TV show “Mork and Mindy,” wore white knee-high cowboy boots, a sequined mini skirt and top, an orange scarf, and gloves. This memorable appearance made Robin Williams the NFL’s first male cheerleader.
