No one should be basing Kelce’s claim on total Super Bowl wins. He isn’t the greatest TE no matter what. He’s basically a big receiver. He could never change the game like Gronkowski or even a guy like Kittle by adding another lineman on running downs, or be an absolute nightmare 1 on 1, without the help of misdirection and creative playcalling. Great player, all-time great, not a complete tight end. Both things can be true.Yes but three guys who could've inched closer to GOAT status failed miserably tonight. Mahomes was terrible those 2 picks were atrocious, Kelce was nowhere to be seen and Reid couldn't adjust to the pressure.
Mahomes still has a lot of years left. Winning 3 in a row should never have been an automatic claim to being the GOAT. Like, if Jannik Sinner wins every Grand Slam this year, he would do something that no one ever did. It would be amazing. Probably best flex ever. Doesn’t mean much for his career total Grand Slams. Still wouldn’t be near Djokovic or Federer. That was just silly media nonsense. Maybe you could argue best prime ever, best accomplishment ever, not best ever due to one thing.
Reid’s legacy was most affected of the three. He had a real shot to be considered in the top 3. He could still get most wins but most Super Bowls looks out of reach.
