If everything had gone right with him, he’d be an Alex Smith type of steady eddy quarterback who can’t beat teams but can keep you in the game. That was his ceiling, not his floor.
It didn't translate into anything, but Cousins looked a lot more comfortable on that drive than anything I saw of him from last week's game.

Absolutely. Playing from ahead, and putting pressure on the team with the recovering QB, makes too much sense for analytics, though.
