Patriots news

With Mayo taking over I would doubt there's much (if any) scheme change on D going into 2024. I would also guess there's an increased likelihood resigning many of our own FA's... At least i hope that's the case. Uche is the one I would rather get paid elsewhere given what his market will be.

Smart move for the Patriots is to get them signed before BB gets in position to take them away.

Good point. Assuming there's no tampering they do have a bit of a head start. My priorities would be

Onwenu
Dugger
Henry
Jennings
Mack Wilson

Okay with resigning
Bourne
Austin
Zeke
Brown
Bryant <<--- non guaranteed and hope (again) somebody beats him out

I've posted about this several times, in various forums, but I'd love to see them bring Bourne back. Then, assuming for the moment that they don't go QB at #3, I'd want to see the WR/TE group starting with:

Veteran WR1 FA signing
Marvin Harrison, Jr.
Bourne
Douglas
Henry
Stevenson

I'd hold onto the following unless I could find a definite upgrade:

Elliot
Brown

I don't really care one way or the other about:

Parker (Would prefer to see him replaced but, if they want to keep him as a pricey WR5, it's their cash)
Boutte (I haven't seen anything to want him back but, if the team thinks he can blossom, ok)

I don't see any reason to bring back

JuJu,
Gesicki
Thornton
Reagor

There's a lot of work to be done to fix this offense, but I think the above could make for a nice start, at the cost of one big FA signing and the Harrison pick.
