Your beef is with that twink, Savage. I do think Daboll was a very good OC though.

I think Daboll was gifted a natural talent that needed to learn how to play the position. It took years for Allen to grow into the game. Maye's improvements have been in a matter of months, though he's still got a long way to go.

If you want QB development, keep Van Pelt or get McDaniels. They've both shown an ability to improve the games of multiple QBs.

I would be fine keeping Van Pelt. The problem is twofold...

1. Hand Job Bob decides to keep Mayo. AVP stays. Ugh. We still have the DEI HC.

2. If Hand Job Bob grows a sack and gets rid of Mayo, I think everyone is gone so the new HC gets to pick his staff.

So, do you like AVP so much to keep Mayo? I don't.

I think Mayo has definitely proven that he was not ready for the job, and I've seen nothing to indicate that he'll be ready by next year. So I don't want any part of him returning as the HC. I think this is an easy year to "win" the offseason, and I think the easiest way to "lose" it would be to keep Mayo.

Unfortunately I agree this is most likely. But there is a small chance the new HC could retain some staff, it's not unheard of. In the case of Vrabel, while him and AVP obviously didn't overlap at Cleveland, there still would be familiarity with the offensive system at least. There's a small change he could be retained.

If the choice comes down to Keep Mayo/AVP, or start over at both HC/OC... I'm choosing to start over

Agreed. Unfortunately, I think AVP is an innocent casualty IF that happens.

FUCK Jalopy Fucking Tavai. Dude fucking SUCKS. He, doGchow AND Notso Wise can ALL fucking eat shit then Get The FUCK OUT.

This is just more of a bad look for Mayo. Players talking like this because the coach is weak.

i hope all these anti bill people understand exactly what he brought to the table beyond coaching itself. Watching inside the NFL with him on it is so great not just because I like hearing his opinions on things but also since 2 of the guys on the show played for bill you get to hear some of the little back stories that show what a truly great leader he was as a coach. for one in the first episode Chris long mentioned how bill would sit in the shitty airplane seats and let the players go in first class. long also mentioned how bill paid him his incentives even though he didn't hit them. I've always said that how bill handles the media protected his players and that's something that the bill haters also overlook. those are the kinds of things that should make the players really glad to play for him. I'm sure he was tough as shit but he also took care of his guys in important ways and put himself second. that's leadership.
