I know it's old news because of the coaching change, and non-ideal because of the draft positioning. But I ask you to put that aside and appreciate the game that Joe Milton had. Yes it was a glorified preseason game, with the exception that the Bills players made the 53. Many of our starters this year were 3rd string level, particularly on the OL. So taking that into account, just an impressive game by Milton. He looked much more polished and decisive than preseason Joe. Footwork looked good, nice escapability, poise, great throws on the run, arm talent is undeniable. At the very least, the pats have themselves a tradeable asset, possible long term backup that can start in a pinch.

They're not worth being on even the 90-man roster.


You're probably right, but it doesn't hurt to have them there right now. There's no opportunity cost issue.
