Some of those players only make the league minimum, though. How are they supposed to afford a babysitter on just $750k?
Not to get too pedantic, but you do understand how much babysitting and day care costs these days, right? It's not like it used to be, giving 10 bucks to the 14 year old down the street.

Just as a singular example, my sister has one kid, 2 1/2 years old, she pays $5000-$6000/mo. She will be spending *less* once she gets into Nursery School, but still, that's insane money, even if you have a lot of it.

Yes, I do know how much it costs these days, and I absolutely stand by what I posted. But, besides that, we're only talking about 17 days a year, barring playoffs.

$5-6k a month is really high end daycare tho, she must live in a big city like new york or LA. I have some really well off friends that live in Boston and they were paying about $2500/mo for their daughter to go to a good daycare

i saved a fortune because both my parents and my wife's parents took turns watching our son.. and i got to use an FSA to get $5k pretax dollars that i just had my parents invoice me for at $11/hr so i could claim the 5k and "pay" them with it, then they just gifted it back to me since it was under 10k so paid no taxes on it

for us, daycare only 3 days a week was going to cost around $1,200 in NH... so glad we had parents in the area willing to help us, daycare costs are savage and often once you have 2 kids, it becomes unaffordable and is cheaper for 1 spouse to stay home and watch them vs working to pay daycare costs that often exceed what you make

Half of the players are probably fucking the babysitters, creating more kids, and then the babysitters now need babysitters too.

It's a vicious cycle.

I am going to have a bake sale with proceeds going to the NFL Players Bastard Care Fund.

Oh, man....

Jerod Mayo, Eliot Wolf hope drafting Drake Maye leads New England Patriots into next era of success

This could get ugly in a hurry, if the QB doesn't bail them all out. This is shaping up to be the keystone coaches.
Over the next season, folks are going to realize that BB's approach - focus on and fix the mistakes, don't generate or believe the hype, don't get too excited or down, don't share stuff outside the family - had a whole lot of truth and positive results.

I always thought most of the the flaws in the BB approach were about degree rather than kind. I think we're already seeing lots of evidence to support that notion.
