Brady has, effectively, THREE Hall-Worthy careers. Split his regular seasons into two careers and he's still a god. Take his playoff career on its own and he's still a god.

Brady destroyed him in the playoffs. Mahomes is just another "He's great, but..." guy. And that's ok, because there are a lot of those. And it's no shame to be a top 20, but not #1 guy, either, which is where Mahomes is likely to end up. There are only 19 of those in the world.
Curious where do you have Mahomes ranked as of now? Top of your head

Mahomo is lucky he plays in this weak Era of football with all these weak ass calls that go in his favor ever week. even 10 years ago that guy wouldnt win shit
As a general rule, I start by keeping the top 8 here in place (though not in that same order, obviously, since Brady's the clear #1), and then have a scrum for #9-13 or #9-15 or so:

And I don't yet see any reason to move Mahomes into that top 8, so I'd have him in that #9-15 scrum, which should be ok for any sane evaluator, since his cake's not fully baked yet). His failures against Brady in the playoffs loom large, since Brady's been the only real challenge to him in this weaker QB era.
And before the Mahomo starts on about his wins and all that, let me note that Brady took over a 5-11 team that was 0-2 to start the next year, while Mahomes has never played with a bad team, and the team he took over was already a team coming off of 11, 12, and 10 win seasons with 3 consecutive playoff appearances, and 4 double digit win years with playoff appearances in the 5 pre-Mahomes seasons.

I agree. I think he is somewhere just outside of the top 10 currently. We will see how he does as his team continues to lose talent. They actually look very pedestrian this year but are finding ways to win because the league overall is crap ...
