Mahomes has a huge advantage in being the only "Elite" QB in the league right now, with Brady gone (and, for Rodgers fans who might be inclined to argue, with Rodgers being old and coming off an Achilles tear). And he obviously needs it, since he couldn't beat Brady come playoff time.

Brady was called a game manager for years, despite his numbers showing otherwise. His arm was mocked, despite it being one of the strongest in the league. His mobility was constantly criticized, despite his being, along with Marino, perhaps the best ever at pocket maneuvering. His brain was criticized in comparison to Peyton, despite being every bit as good at the mental game as any QB to ever lace them up.

Bruschi took the bait, you're really comparing early 00s to the 18-20s era of football? Lol teams score 3.4 PPG more from 18-23 than 01-07 that's a big difference in points. Average will go down if he keeps playing in the postseason, and the trailing by 7+ pts is a meat riding stat to make it seem like omg wow he trailed by 10 at the half lol not a big deal same as the Philly Superbowl it was 10 pts by halftime.

I did this thing called "listening" to Bruschi's comments. His point, which is incorrect, was that the Chiefs had to ride Mahomes while Brady was just a helper. That's a nothing argument, even if true, and it's not true. Bruschi's commentary is that of someone who's too close to just one half of the situation. He was part of the defense that he's pimping, after all, you dolt.



2000-2001 Patriots: 5-13 pre-Brady to 14-3 with Brady, including a SB win

2017-2018 Chiefs: 10-6 in the Smith season (one game played by Mahomes) w/a playoff appearance, 12-4 in the Mahomes season w/1 playoff win

Chiefs under Smith overall: 4 playoff appearances in 5 years
