Super Bowl 58 Pregame Thread: 49ers versus Chiefs

Big Dick Nick would be the peer and he would actually be better than Mahomes. He actually beat the real GOAT in a Superbowl
Mahomes averaged 23.3 points per game this postseason, with two of three games against walking infirmaries. He is now the undisputed GOAT, sorry.

You know you both wish you could have Bailey Zappe as your starter.
I'm a firm believer that we just needed a new OC. We stashed Moore so I hope it rejuvenates Hurts. Can't say the same for Dak though I think that's his reality a choker.

All the 🥩🏇 the Chiefs are getting almost made me be a fan of the 49ers for one day...but I couldn't do it.

Shit at this point I would take Mac Jones and see if we could revive his career in Dallas over Dak. I've seen enough

Hurts is a fraud

On that we agree on something. I was close to being a 49er fan too for that weekend but my pride wouldn't let me.

Gonna be tough to sell me on Hurts. I consider him a lesser Lamar who's had better talent around him. And Dak's a lesser Phillip Rivers.

He’s only a fraud if you think he’s a classic pocket QB who can carry a team to wins by throwing 40 times. If you see him for what he is, he fits the Eagles offense well, but he’s very dependent on that offensive line, and I think the wheels can fall off often. He isn’t a guy I would have signed to a mega deal though.

I won't sugar coat it. I am worried over his regression this season. He has weapons and a good to great Oline and fell apart down the stretch. I really hope it was just a bump in the road.

The league's in a weird spot right now. With the recent retiring of several all time greats, there's one truly great QB (Mahomes) left in the league, and the rest is a bunch of posers, wannabes, lessers, and potentials. It's been a while since the position has been this weak, but the media is acting as if this is a golden age.

Would you consider Burrow as a great QB? Besides his Oline issues he's probably the only one who doesn't shoot himself in the foot when going up against KC.

No. I look at him as a potential. Let me see what he does when he's healthy, but he's not surrounded by offensive firepower.

Good point he does have a loaded skill position room. Who do you think is the best non Mahomes QB right now then?

Deus has his own thoughts but I think it’s clearly Allen.

Man I just want Hurts to take care of the football and let his Oline do their thing. Moore better run the ball more too. It gets tricky if Kelce retires. Lane isn't getting any younger either

It might be Burrow. I'd have a hard time really sorting out the jumble at the top. Right now, I'd probably choose from among Burrow, Allen and Jackson, but I'm not even sure of that. There's just nothing for me to really sink my argument into for any of the non-Mahomes QBs this year.

To be honest, If you told me to count Brady and Rodgers at the talent level they last played at, my top 3 would probably end up being (in alphabetical order) Brady/Mahomes/Rodgers. Rodgers is a poser, but he'd have made that Jets team a SB threat this year. And I'd still have taken Brady over every other QB this year, including Mahomes, come playoff time, as long as his O-line was healthy.
