They really haven't though besides the 1st half of the Ravens game and vs 3rd string Buffalo defense they haven't wow or anything..

I think there’s some overconfidence mostly because of the idea that momentum carries over when it usually doesn’t, especially with a two week gap and facing the other conference champ (a really tough team.) The Niners stock is low due to a perceived downward slope in their performance, whereas the Chiefs are perceived as on an upward slope in performance.
The fact is the two teams are fairly close and the postseason hasn’t really shown us an overall difference in either team.
The Niners defense just played against two very good offenses, and even if they weren’t as sharp as normal that is still some normal variance.
The Chiefs are still only averaging 23 ppg in the postseason despite two very weak defenses in three games, and that’s with incredibly opportune field position forced by that defense.

Tell me have you watched the games? Mahomes has had all dump passes and screens with the occasional wide open Kelce throw. Everything has been easy and open credit to him for finding the open guy, but he hasn't had anything special

- Travis Kelce (perennial all pro)
- Rashee Rice (~1,000 yard rookie WR)
- Marques Valdez-Scantling ($10M, an ideal #2 receiver who was also good in GB)
- Manny Pacheco, an excellent running back
- Two All Pro offensive linemen in Humphrey and Thuney

Unfortunately the correct dosage of Mahomes credit / praise is impossible to give out right now because of the absolutely insane overhype of his historical place in history at this moment. No one on this forum, even the most salty of us, have said he isn’t the best QB in the league. That type of acknowledgement used to mean something but it’s like no one “respects” him until they say something asinine and give him advanced credits for what he’s “gunna do.”
While I wouldn't be surprised if the ref..er Chiefs win. I like the 49ers -2.
The 49ers are the better team, better offense, better playmakers, better QB this year without question. The Chiefs are a bit better on D but that's a wash with the much better SF Offense. Plus the Chiefs run D is absolute trash. 49ers and CMC are going to dominate IMO, I like CMC as MVP also.
