NFL GameDay The official 2024 NFL Draft thread.

GameDay Discussion
This team is still missing its top 2 WRs, a left tackle, a RB2, and, probably, a TE2 and a guard.

This is the price to be paid for having such a shitty free agency period.

its a multi year rebuild, but we got the most important missing piece out of the way

now i just hope they can protect him and not turn him into the next andrew luck

  • They were in position to get a proven starting level left tackle at the cost of nothing but money. No draft capital would have needed to be expended.
  • They were in position to get a WR1 (or WR2 if you want to take the most negative analysis of the player) at the cost of nothing but money. No draft capital would have needed to be expended.

Neither of those is a position we should have had "patience" about while they screwed it up, given that both are obvious needs today, regardless of any long term vision.

First shocker.
