Tom Brady & Patriots Dynasty Divinity Thread

been watching the apple Dynasty series

the first 4-5 episodes were good...

but holy shit.. starting around episode 5-6, it legit turns Belichick into an evil, organization destroying Godzilla monster

pretty crazy... seems like BB changed his style a bit after being forced to trade Jimmy (Kraft didnt literally forcce him to trade Jimmy, but he told Bill that they wouldnt trade Brady under ANY circumstances)

the entire team was completely miserable in 2017... and then BB benching Butler was like the ultimate F You to end the season

Sounds like the trump support really soured the locker room as well. its amazing they came back from that season and won in 2018 given the circumstances... truly amazing

I was surprised at how many shots Matthew Slater took at BB, he's been a team captain and on this team for a long time, towing the company line... was very surprised by some of his comments

Malcolm Butler im not sure is 100% telling the truth, in terms of him not knowing why he was benched... he must have some idea, and maybe is taking advantage of BB's discretion, but man o man... Belichick really fucked up benching butler in that SB... most coaches would be fired for something like that.. he legit lost the team/locker room with that decision

Also was interesting that they had an idea that Hernandez was into some bad stuff, but sort of looked past it because of how insanely good he was... it was pretty insane tho when that investigator who was being interviewed tried to imply that Belichick killed Odin Lloyd by not trading Hernandez to the west coast... that was fucking bullshit, i cant believe that got thru the final editorial cuts... absolutely insane and disgusting to imply that the way he did

that's 🙄 if support for trump disturbed the lr. 90% of players are probably leftists. so what? doesn't mean they are bad people or bad players. same with trump supporters. think for yourself. judge what you see not swallow media shit 100%. i respect the guys who use OFF WORK TIME to support their beliefs regardless of whether i agree with their cause. chris long, total leftist but he is all about doing things to support real efforts to help people in need. dmac also. tons of guys like that in the league. guys of integrity.
bb definitely made some wtf decisions but kraft's revisionist history is revolting. i'm glad bb has kept his mouth shut about this bullshit though instead of lashing out in kind. whatever happened w/malcolm hw came back to the team. so ....

They ask BB some direct questions throughout the series and he doesn't answer them, one of those is the Malcolm Butler benching... he asks the question to Bill about, and id have to go back to transcribe it verbatum, but was something like "Why did you bench Butler in the SB? Many players on the team are wondering the same, and the defense was struggling all game"

BB just answered "I already addressed that Matt, ive got nothing else to add"

and the interviewer responded "I never asked you a question about it"

Then just shows BB staring at him for awkward amount of seconds and moves on to next clip

For the Trump stuff, I think it bothered players because they always kept stuff out of the locker room but they felt like the 3 pillars of the organization (Brady, KRaft and BB) were all friends with Trump and brought it into locker room. BB wrote his letter that trumped shared publicly and Brady had a MAGA hat in his locker

its quite unbelievable they were so close to beating Eagles for a 6th that year, and then went on to win it the next year... if some of these lockerroom issues never arose, i think Pats win 7 SBs with Brady/BB... what a shame

Not a great look for Kraft tho to go after Bill so hard... but i think its pretty obvious that Bill lost the locker room at some point in 2017.. they held it together for another year to win SB in 2018, then it all started to fall apart

Belichick is a football historian who donated his football library to the Navy.

I believe with all of my heart that SOMEDAY when Belichick is definitely finished coaching....he'll co-author a tell-all book to properly place himself in the context of football history.

Too bad John Feinstein passed away.....

At the end of the day, Belichick was the coach....and couldn't really get chummy with any player....and always took the high road.

i'm old-school enough to respect most the man who refuses to air publicly his dirty laundry or fee-fees about everything that may affect others
#bbitis,notkraftorbrady

Brady didnt throw Bill under the bus, not even once that i can think of thru the entire "documentary"
I would hope that Bill will be at his HOF event. That would be the right thing to do.

Here's an interview with the producers of the Belichick hit piece. I'm not watching these fucking idiots, I've wasted enough time watching the hit piece. Fuck them. I'm just posting it for anyone who may want to see it. Again, Fuck them.
