All things Belichick

As an unwise man once said: “I’m in charge here.” 💅

I'm sure Bangkok Bob is seething hearing that. Poor Krafty want to be viewed as THE man responsible for the dynasty after Brady.

Never gonna happen, Bob. You were the word slurring uncle everyone was embarrassed of but tolerated because you had the money.
He did have a contingent of weirdo fans at the old place that wanted to put him up there as the reason because “none of this happens without Bob.” Bob was smart enough to stay away most of the time. That’s the only credit he gets. The majority of the credit goes to Brady, his commitment to the game, his ability to take lesser deals while making money outside of football (thus leaving space to sign big time FAs), and his longevity. A distant second is Bill. Kraft is way down the totem pole - after some key players, coaches, and front office staff (I.E., Pioli, Floyd Reese, etc).

Kraft is an afterthought at most, no matter what those Ian sycophants think.

Belichick is second. I disagree with "distant second" though.

Brady gets 75% of the credit. How you want to distribute the rest is up to you. Bill was a career mediocrity as a HC before Brady and he was a career mediocrity after Brady.

It's a players game by BBs words.
Not a coincidence Andy couldn't win shit until he got Kermit

thats why he had Rupert Murdoch make a statement that it was Kraft's business leadership that led to all the success

Umm....

Reid didn't win SBs without Mahomes, but he went to four conference championships and got to a Super Bowl without Mahomes. Belichick's won a grand total of one playoff game without Brady.

Bob deserves credit for hiring Bill at the right time. Bill deserves credit for building and coaching the teams that won, and for drafting Brady of course. Brady deserves credit because he worked harder than everyone else and had a maniacal obsession to be the best.

There is an incredible amount of luck that Brady and Bill came together when they did, and that they were the perfect match for each other to build a dynasty that spanned 2 decades. It doesn't happen for one without the other. I'm thankful that they stuck it out as long as they did and got us 6 championships. We had the best run ever, and have 2 goats and they can never take that from us.

Now I love you guys, but arguing about percentages of credit is absurd and fucking stupid as hell. But I can't stop you so I guess carry on you fucking morons.

Can’t really say whether or not Brady would have won 6 without Bill. But he DID win one without Bill - at 42. I think it would be a safe bet that he’d have won at least one earlier on in his career. He was the GOAT at the most important position taking less money than he was entitled to. That’s a lethal advantage.

Beers: Came to talk shit about people arguing over credit. Failed to give Parcells credit for helping build the core of dynasty, part I

Lol that's absolutely ridiculous

?????

I was laughing about what I figured was you forgetting to add Parcells to that group, because it's funny in context. What is the ridiculous part? What did I miss?

Had Bob not got involved with Parcells, where do you see that 90's team going? Maybe Bill takes over for Parcells anyways after 1999. They would've needed to hit on a couple more draft picks to pass Denver by 1998. Even with Carroll, they would've easily been in the AFCCG with a healthy Martin, Glenn and McGinest. Jacksonville was loaded in 1999 and Tennessee was pretty much the same team the Pats beat in 1998, just with "The Freak" Jevon Kearse which made a huge difference in their pass rush.

Bob listening to his stat nerds and low baling Curtis Martin in 1997 causing Parcells to come in and install the poison pill was the beginning of the end of that 90's team that Parcells built.
