Film, TV, Netflix, HBO, Etc. Thread

So I watched 2 and a half episodes of Yellowstone last night and I'll say this, it's pretty fucking ridiculous, I know it's fiction but seriously.. all this shit happening in the middle of nowhere Montana? Kinda dumb. The one son drives by a meth lab trailer while is randomly explodes, and then a few days later randomly see's a van on side of the highway with kidnapping/hostage whatever thing going on? Talk about shit-luck.

That said, I'll probably keep watching for now because it is well done and I'm obsessed with Kelly Reilly's character. She's a babe

Floribama Shore on Netflix is some classic Real World style trash reality tv

Pumped my 12 yo wants to watch The Matrix. I watched it many times and am surprised it’s rated R. Based on normal standards now I think it’s pretty tame.

Given the board, I'm surprised there's not a tech thread here. In the absence of that, I'll leave this here. Reddit is about to go from shit with corn kernels to just plain shit. But at least some people will get very rich in the process:

Reddit is considering valuing itself at $5 billion ahead of its planned initial public offering, Bloomberg reported Sunday.

Earlier this month, Reuters reported the social media platform was drawing up plans for a March IPO but had not decided what value it would place on its shares.

The San Francisco-based company was valued at $10 billion when it raised funds in 2021, according to Bloomberg.

The IPO market for 2024 is off to a sluggish start. Shares in the healthcare services company BrightSpring, for example, finished Friday trading at $11 per share after the company sought $18 per share, the Wall Street Journal reported.

...Parent company NBCUniversal revealed that their streaming service Peacock lost an absurd $2.7 billion dollars in 2023. Peacock currently claims around 30 million subscribers, however, that number could dip dramatically based on the number of people that canceled their membership after the Wild Card game...

Is Deadwood good? I see it getting lots of love. Back from the days when I thought everything on HBO was great.

I loved it, especially the first couple seasons... Like a lot of HBO shows it doesn't finish as strong as the start, but it's still really good. They followed it up with a sequel movie later on that was okay.

I think I'll watch it next after I finish this run of the Sopranos then, thanks!

Griselda E1 was excellent. I’m a junkie for narco shows.

I have 2 movies lined up that I already have tickets to. the first I'm not really thrilled about. My buddy's girlfriend wants to see it, so we're going to "Madam Web" February 17th. I figure it for being a horrible movie. I just hope it's not as bad as "The Marvels".
The second movie we're going to is March 2nd and this one will probably be the best movie of the year for me, "Dune 2". The first one was really good. I absolutely hated the original with Sting. I can't stand Sting or the Police so that probably sways my opinion some.
