First we had a black "Human Torch". Now, Mr. Fantastic is going to be hispanic.

Pedro Pascal is a very good actor. I don’t think it’ll tank because he’s Hispanic. I think it will tank because Disney is behind it.
I’ll be watching TWD: The Ones Who Live. I’m a sucker for that genre and that franchise is one of the few shows that went down the drain and came back to quality after shaking up their writing staff. So far, it has good reviews from critics. No audience reviews just yet, though, which is what I tend to lean on more nowadays.
I have nothing against the actor. I have something against the purposeful changing of important known characters out of a desire for diversity. I don't want James Bond to be a homosexual, or a woman, or non-white because of diversity, etc.., just as I don't want Othello to be white, or Mulan to be hispanic, because of diversity. I don't want iconic characters changed unless the reason is about nothing but pure excellence, though I accept that sometimes you have to stretch the point to make Sean Connery fit in the role, if you know what I mean.

I mean what’s wrong with creating new characters? Seems to work just fine. There have been lots of big hits with minority lead characters.
Agree with your list except wouldn’t mind seeing Idris Elba play Bond because everything about his style is Bond.
I hear you about Idras, which is what I mean with regards to my Connery comment, but this is actually a great way to sort of make my point. Idris wouldn't need to be Bond. He could be 008, set in the same franchise universe, for example.

These studios just absolutely refuse to learn. Maybe, just maybe, when they go bankrupt, they'll start to question their approaches.

I'll be watching it to compare with the classic, which I've got on DVD. So, I'll be logging some significant watching hours.
