Gone are they days of Galaga tables, personal pan pizzas served in hot skillets, salad bars ... Now it's just cardboard crap.

Shitty atmosphere is a good part of the reason why I don't patronize the likes of Pizza Hut anymore. If I'm going to have a shitty experience with a food chain, I'm better off patronizing a local establishment, even if the cost is a little higher (and it often isn't any more pricey than the chains).

That's why I like real North East diners. No fake "motif", just good food and real people.
