So, after boycotting the Red Sox this year because the owner is a cheap prick who cares more about money than winning, I've broken down. My friend convinced me that we should take in a game at Fenway. We usually go to 4-5 games a year, but haven't gone as of yet.

Well I went to the website where I get tickets at half price and bought 3 for the Red Sox/Mariners game July 30th. One ticket for me, one each for him and his girlfriend. I'll be 3 rows from the field down by Pesky Pole.

We've been going to games together for the last 20 years and he didn't want to break that tradition. I guess I gave in because I don't know how much longer I can do this.

pretty busy 1/4 for a suburb-type area. It's been a while since we've seen so much during such a short walk.

Archaeologists at George Washington’s Mount Vernon have unearthed an astounding 35 glass bottles from the 18th century in five storage pits in the Mansion cellar of the nation’s first president. Of the 35 bottles, 29 are intact and contain perfectly preserved cherries and berries, likely gooseberries or currants. The contents of each bottle have been carefully extracted, are under refrigeration at Mount Vernon, and will undergo scientific analysis. The bottles are slowly drying in the Mount Vernon archaeology lab and will be sent off-site for conservation.

This discovery follows a recent find in the cellar of two intact European-manufactured 18th-century glass bottles containing liquid, cherries, and pits. These archaeological finds are part of the landmark privately funded $40 million Mansion Revitalization Project at George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

If you have a Walmart Plus membership, you might be able to get 6 months of Showtime and Paramount Plus for free. I went to the Walmart website and there was the offer I guess it's for what they're calling "Walmart Week".

Like I always say "If it's free, it's for me!!

So, this morning I bought tickets to another Sox game September 11th. The game's against Baltimore and tickets through the website I use were stupid cheap. I could have bought 2nd row Bleacher tickets for $10.00 each. I upgraded to the best seats the site offers and they were $30 each. I've never been in that area for a game so that's a plus.
