True story. where I used to work was like a DEI nightmare and we used to have all these freaking education class is about it so none of us really wanted to go there with some people even though we were not that politically correct. if we had someone in our department that we knew was left leaning,we knew we couldn't joke with them in certain ways. so there was a puerto rican HVAC technician and we never wanted to say anything to him even slightly race-related even if it sounded innocuous to us. Now granted he's also married to a white woman but still we didn't want to get in trouble. so imagine our astonishment 1 day when he started talking completely sincerely about how he loved either Chipotle or Taco Bell I can't remember which one. I had such a hard time not bursting out into laughter.
I just go with my own attitude how life should be. Everything can be a source for humor. Not only CAN, but SHOULD be a source of humor. Laughter is the antidote for so much.
