I am already convinced the DEI guy is going to get us a top 5 pick again in 2025

We kick Bill to the curb, but we keep his kids?

Let me guess, Troy Brown will be brought back too, because he has a nice smile & everyone likes him?

I am sorry, but I am having Rod Rust flashbacks

Remember the outrage when Ron Myers fired Rod Rust? We then fire Myers because Rust was popular & eventually they make Rust our head coach in a 1-15 one & done

It's been a very bizarre start to Mayo's tenure, and there aren't any signs that things are going to normalize sometime soon.

Setting the O/U on Mayo’s firing at 2.5 years.

Love seeing two Jets moves on there, but JJSS over Meyers needs to be much higher. What a disaster.
Does it though? What difference do you think Meyers would have made (other than directly losing them a game that would have put them in the playoffs like he did last year), with Mac Jones at QB?

Mac was on the cusp of being ruined and Meyers was his security blanket. We took that from him and gave him this…

Now, we just have another need at WR that we would not have had if Meyers had stayed.

On the cusp?
He was toast in December 2021. The last 2 seasons have been an absolute debacle. You can blame who you want to blame, but there's one constant in all the blaming.

Oh, I don’t hold Mac blameless at all. My post history speaks to that. But if you think the team did all they could to help him, that just isn’t correct. Meyers was one of many fuck-ups when it comes to his development (or lack thereof).

In hindsight, maybe it was a fuck-up. Maybe you can't keep a guy who actually kept you out of the playoffs in the locker room. I just don't think him being her or not would have made any difference - he sucked when he was here, he sucked when he wasn't.

He didn’t suck as much as JJSS, though. 71 balls, over 800 yards, 8 TDs. On a squad that made a change at HC mid-season with quarterback drama. We could have used some of that production here.

Yes. Belichick.

And how much of that would have stunted Demario Douglas?

And I keep saying it, but no one wants to believe it's a thing. This guy cost them the playoffs last year, with a heroball play that Josh Allen would have been proud of. And they all know it. I'm not sure there was a scenario where he could come back.

I’m not sure it would have stunted Douglas. They’re two different players with two different route trees. As for your last paragraph? No argument here.

Well he's gone now, so Mac Jones should be pro-bowl level by Week 1, right? Everything's fixed?

That's not how it works. You know that. You should try the Joe Murray approach next, and give us a wildly misleading set of claims about offensive coordinators in order to blame Mac.
