Unless they hate Sanders, it doesn't make any sense for the Giants to go WR at #3, if the QB's available. Both the coach and the GM are trying to save their jobs, and a developmental WR doesn't do that for them.

But a QB might.
He could also easily go to Cleveland at 2.

Why would Russell Wilson change that? He's good for a year or two at best. Sanders would be the future.

If Wilson keeps them from taking Sanders, then they didn't like Sanders in the first place. And that may be the case. But Russell Wilson is not the reason.
This QB class isn’t great. They’re likely to just use Wilson as a stopgap and punt on that decision until next year.

Right. That means they don't believe in Sanders.

But they could also draft Sanders with the intention of him watching and learning year 1. Signing Wilson would make sense for that too. Just like the Falcons signed Cousins and still drafted Penis Jr.

Absolutely. And, if they think he can be a top level QB in the league, they should. Deciding, more than a year out from next year's draft, to suck for Manning is a very risky proposition.

They will trade back up late in the first round to get your boy Banks. He will be the third OT taken.

They don't have enough juice to trade that far up without crippling the rest of their draft.
