It's a bit of an overpay, but that's what happens when you let them get this far, and they needed to keep him. Now they need another quality tackle for the left side, as well as getting the center of the future and at least one IOL who can push Strange.

This is a massive overpay and it's becoming a bad trend in the NFL. Players who have never sniffed an All Pro or even a Pro Bowl selection are becoming the highest paid at their positions. It's fucking weird. Just look at some of the highest paid players and you'll ask "who?"

The salary cap increasing and PFF have gotten a lot of mediocre guys paid.

The big cap jump is resulting in a big salary jump. It was bound to happen. But we're seeing the usual FA overpay being tacked on to that, so it looks outrageous.

Seems pretty reasonable to me given the cap increase and Onwenu is a really good player. 19/yr for a player in his prime

I've also noticed recent draft picks contracts are so high, teams don't have much room with experienced players.

I think Alex Smith mentioned the mid tier contract is becoming eliminated. You either make peanuts or a lot.

We're also seeing a lot of wheel spinning with the RB moves, as teams try to cheap out at that position. So that's making deals for other positions look even more ridiculous.
