NFL Breaking News Vrabel to become Pats HC

Yeah, right Mike. Your OLC is good, so he'll find out soon enough that Wallace & Laydown are backup-caliber talents at best and he'll adjust accordingly... Your WRC on the other hand is a shit show unto himself so that position's gonna be Fucked for at least another season because sloPolk's a backup-caliber athlete who also now doesn't appear to have the required intestinal fortitude either... and the other fucking guy shouldn't have been fucking drafted AT ALL.

If Wallace can just achieve "decent starting right tackle" level this season, that would be a big help.

It would be, but he won't.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I'm hoping that his biggest problem was that Wolf was wrong about him being a LT, and that the attempted switch messed him up last year.

According to Reiss, Wolf (on paper) does in fact have the last say on personnel. But he added they will collaborate and Vrabel obviously has a huge input. Reiss also said he felt if Wolf ran the roster with an "iron fist" type of mentality he'd be gone rather quickly.

I still have no idea what Wolf is still doing in the front office. This guy blew a bunch of money on his own scrub players, signed awful OL and botched the draft only to throw Mayo under the bus telling the media the players were good enough. Now he comes out and says the players aren't good enough.

It's one or both from below:

  • He was already under contract and Kraft doesn't like to spend money if he doesn't need to.
  • Kraft likes his scouting system and wants to give it a chance.

But, IMO, Vrabel's going to be making the final call. His comment about not taking the gig if he wasn't comfortable with how his input would be taken made that seemingly clear to me, especially given what happened in Tennessee.
