Probably Mahomes even if he has a bad game. If the Chiefs win he will win it

Purdy had more big time throws than Mahomes this season. Mahomes was #2 in YAC. I would put some respect on Purdy's name.
Is he, though? I don't ask that dismissively. I ask that because it's just assumed (and I've been making the same assumption) in the face of the data. This reminds me of a couple of years where Brady should have won the MVP, but didn't, because voters just followed along with the general media narrative.
I think Mahomes is the best QB in the league now that Brady's retired, but I've seen a lot lately that's making me think just a tiny bit more about that, and I wonder if others are getting just a hint of that, too.
I'm curious to what have you seen to make you think that?

If you didn't have any info about Mahomes other than what's from this season, where would your rank him among QBs, and would that answer have been different at the end of the regular season than it is now?
